Vodacom Stormers squad attending pre-season camp announced

Vodacom Stormers coach Kobus Van Der Merwe today announced a squad of 34 players to go on a five day training camp to George as part of the team’s pre-season preparations for next year’s Vodacom Super 14. The camp will take place from Saturday 16 December – Wednesday 20 December.

 

The squad is as follows:

The following players will not be attending the camp:
– Paul Delport (Glandular Fever)
– De Wet Barry (on honeymoon)
– Sireli Naqelevuki (allowed to return for Vodacom Stormers duty on 4 January 2007 as a result of coup in Fiji)

Luke Watson will undergo an operation today on his right ankle to remove a bony spur causing ankle impingement. It is a small operation and the recovery time is expected to be 3-4 weeks. The coach and medical doctor will make a final decision on Sunday as to whether he will attend the camp depending on his post operative recovery.
