Paulse makes way for Chavhanga in Waratahs clash

Investec Stormers coach Gert Smal has added Tonderai Chavhanga in place of in-form Springbok wing Breyton Paulse for Saturday’s Super 12 match against the Waratahs in Sydney.

Paulse has been replaced by Tonderai Chavhanga in one of four changes and two positional switches to the side.

The other sees Chris Rossouw come in at flyhalf for Gaffie du Toit, who moves to fullback in place of the injured Werner Greeff.

Smal was quoted in the Cape media in the week that he would consider Chavhanga on the wing, but that it would be to test a combination rather than axing any player on performance. The move is thus expected to be a short-term measure only.

Up front, Adri Badenhorst has come into the side at No 8, with Joe van Niekerk switched to the flank. Luke Watson, like Paulse, is being rested.

Lock Gerrie Britz has been declared fit after missing last week’s 22-19 defeat to the Brumbies and has come into the side in place of Rob Linde.
