Hooker Lucas Van Biljon temporarily joined the Investec Stormers today as cover for the injured Hanyani Shimange.

Shimange is seeing a specialist today to assess an injury to his sternum suffered last week, and remains a doubtful starter to Saturday’s match vs the Reds at Newlands.

In consultation with the national coach, the convenor of selectors and the Lions management, Van Biljon was made available to the Stormers franchise.
