The Investec Stormers is full of confidence that star utility back Jean de Villers would be ready to tackle the Chiefs at Newlands on Saturday in a Super 12 match.
De Villiers suffered an ugly cut to his cheekbone on Saturday and had to leave the field just before halftime with blood pouring from his face. He was stitched up and returned later.
At the after match cocktail he sported a lovely shiner.
The Stormers have already took the necessary action and Blues centre Rua Tipoki will have to face a disciplinary committee on either Monday or Tuesday in Johannesburg.
De Villiers was one of the few stars of the Stormers on Saturday and he needs more game time to establish himself at centre after spending most of the first half of the competition at wing.
