All went well with our transfer to Auckland, with particularly the long flight going off with no hassles. We had a slight hiccup when our team bus broke down on the way from the airport, so we had a little impromptu sightseeing of an Auckland motorway up close and personal at 11pm on Monday evening.

Not a major though, this team tours well – we made it to the hotel on Albert Street and although pretty weary, the guys settled quite quickly to try and beat the lag as soon as possible.

Today (Tuesday) we had a good gym session as a team and then a flush out where Steph, Flecky and Jacques, put us through some attack and defence drills to make sure the 20 hrs of flying were well and truly out of our legs.

We are now on our way for the 2011 inaugural team dinner out. We are hitting Aberdeen Angus, Auckland’s most famous steakhouse. The guys will be hungry. I hope they ready for us….
