Stormers Headshots Session team
Siya Kolisi TWT

2015 is shaping up as a big season, as Siya Kolisi looks to win back his full-time starting place in the DHL Stormers line-up and, in the process, force his way back into Springbok contention in a Rugby World Cup year. A double knee injury ended his 2014 Absa Currie Cup season prematurely as he began to regain some of his old form and confidence – both of which will be crucial for him this year as he closes in on 50 games for the DHL Stormers. Comfortable in any back row position, Siya made his Super Rugby debut for the DHL Stormers before his 21st birthday. His Test debut followed just over a year later, culminating in a Man of the Match performance against Scotland in Nelspruit in June 2013. Siya’s rugby hero is Jean de Villiers, who played a big role off the field in the lead-up to his young protégé’s deserved international debut.
