Tickets for the keenly-anticipated Springboks v World XV clash at DHL Newlands on Saturday, July 11 (2015) are now on sale.
Springbok fans will have just three opportunities to see their Bok heroes in action in South Africa in 2015 (a World Cup year), one of them being this game at DHL Newlands, whilst the World XV will be coached by Robbie Deans, with former Springbok star Bakkies Botha headlining the playing squad.
The recently-retired Botha is one of nine Toulon players who will line up against the Springboks at DHL Newlands, the giants from the south of France having recently won their third consecutive European club title.
Toulon coach Bernard Laporte, who was previously in charge of the French national team, will assist former Wallabies and Crusaders coach Deans with the World XV coaching duties.
Botha’s Toulon teammates who have been confirmed for the World XV are Delon Armitage (fullback), David Smith (wing), Rudi Wulf (centre), Maxime Mermoz (centre), Steffon Armitage (loose forward), Ali Williams (lock), Craig Burden (hooker) and Alexandre Menini (prop). Added to this list are Springbok and Vodacom Bulls centre JJ Engelbrecht, Wallaby scrumhalf Luke Burgess and France flyhalf Maxime Machenaud. (See more on the World XV team, here.)
Tickets for this star-studded clash – priced between R100 and R550 – can be purchased online at wprugby.computicket.com, as well as from Computicket outlets nationwide, the DHL Newlands ticket office and Shoprite & Checkers stores (also nationwide).
